"All the money in the world can't buy you a nickel of time" and "The Floor is Closer Than You Think" are only two of the many lessons of life Robert Atyeo sings about. His growing audience enthusiastically applauds his performances, relating to his words, his humour, his sensitivity and warmth. Atyeo has been compared to J.J. Cale, John Prine and Tom Waits, with a delivery that is boisterously entertaining and wry observations often verging on the black. Atyeo, along with Willie P. Bennett and Tony Quarrington, were formerly known as the Friendly Giants until they were kindly requested by Friendly himself to please refrain from using that particular handle ... or else! Other musical collaborators have included Jane Siberry, Jeff Bird, Colleen Peterson and David Woodhead. In the past year, Robert has shared stages with Garnet Rogers, Stephen Fearing and Willie P. Bennett.
