good afternoon;
thank you laurie, for your very kind words. in your words, it really was =
a "once in a lifetime experience" for me as well, both joining in song =
with the other participants and as an audience member when not onstage. =
laura, thank you for your beautifully-written maplepost letter yesterday =
- but most of all for creating something so wonderful out of sheer =
reverence for colleen's music.
as for the CD idea, aside from the singing part, i'll gladly offer any =
appropriate skills and network that i have that can help to bring it to =
fruition; certainly happy to help with the media relations part. the =
recording / logistics part definitely should be left for the pros!
a toast to Colleen today, after 6 years on the road ...
kind regards;
brenda

Thanks for the vote of confidence Laurie! ....let's see... I can sing,
dance, play a musical instrument, know my way around a few graphic =
programs
on the computer and seem to be not bad at organizing musicians =
(something I
originally thought was an oxymoron), (read 'looking for paid =
employment
now', otherwise this fairytale ends with me living in a shoe...;-) =
however,
spearheading a compilation CD may be out of the realm of my personal
capabilities....hmmm
Perhaps our friends from Borealis Recording Co. might be interested in
taking on this amazing and worthy project??? Care to comment Bill? =
Grit?
Paul? Ken?

I was in the audience last Sunday evening at Hugh's Room for the =
Colleen Peterson Tribute concert. It was a once in a lifetime =
experience! The musicians that played and sang were incredible, the =
music was unforgettable, and nights like that do not happen very often. =
My thanks to Laura Bird for organizing it, and to everyone who had a =
part in bringing it to fruition.
I asked Laura on Sunday if there were any plans on putting together a =
CD with everyone who participated. It would be a wonderful treat, both =
for those of us who were there on Sunday and also for those who weren't. =
And a wonderful way to remember Colleen and her influence on music. =
Laura, how about it?
