[mplpost] Those CanCon playlists

From my own breadbox of experience:
Simply put, CanCon playlist inclusion can result in live performance bookings. I now count over 15 bookings (in some cases subsequent rehires) that have been the result of direct inquiries from bookers who have either seen my airplay on the Folkdj-l listserve or have been referred by Dj's on the listserve themselves. All told, including appearance fees and CD sales I believe this translates into over $7,000 into my pockets over the last 2 years. Early retirement is not imminent, but to an indie performer this kind of money is not just chump change.
