Lisa Winn is 'Headin' West'

Farewell show - Friday Oct 18th at Catherine North Recording Studio

The Show: It's a sad moment for Hamilton music fans. Lisa Winn is going =
out to the coast and doesn't know if she will be back. She hasn't left =
her fans in lurch, however, announcing plans for her final show: The =
"Headin' West Farewell Concert" will take place on October 18th at =
Catherine North Recording Studio on Park and Murray Streets in Hamilton. =
The show starts at 8pm and features many special guests including opener =
Michelle Titian, with appearances by Jacob Moon, Ralph Michelli, Jamie =
Oakes, Melissa McClelland and Janine Stoll.=20

Tickets are $ 20 which includes a pre order of Lisa's forthcoming cd =
"Out From Under." The pre-order funds will offset costs for =
manufacturing the new record.

Tickets are available through her website: www.lisawinn.com and at Dr. =
Disc in Hamilton.

The CD: The new CD is a stripped-down acoustic affair being recorded at =
Grant Ave Studio with Bob Doige. It has been 2 years since her last =
release, Mother Earth, which sold over 1000 units in the local area =
alone, which is no small feat. Lisa has lent her remarkable voice to =
dozens of artists' records over the years, including backing vocals on =
Gordon Lightfoot's "A Painter Passing Through", and is featured =
prominently on Jacob Moon's new live CD, "Landing" (also performed at =
Catherine North).=20

The Leaving: Days after the show, in her old pickup truck, with only her =
dog and her guitar, Lisa will drive off into the sunset, where the great =
Canadian West awaits her. She has shows booked along the way to help her =
get there.=20

Confirmed shows so far:

Monday October 21st - The Townhouse Tavern - Sudbury, ON

Friday October 24th - Abstractions Cafe - Regina, SK

A sad time for Hamilton, but a welcome addition to the beauty of the =
west.

For Lisa Winn, the future is looking pretty bright...
