[mplpost] Tim Harrison CD Release - "Wheatfield With Crows"

Hi,

Second Avenue Records is pleased to announce the release of 
Tim Harrison's CD, "Wheatfield With Crows", a collection of
traditional and contemporary folk songs, seven new, and seven
newly recorded arrangements of songs from a now discontinued
title, "The Stars Above". 

In addition to his poetic ballads, Tim offers up a powerful
performance of "There But For Fortune" (Phil Ochs); a delight-
ful instrumental, "Watson Goes To The Park"; has put to music
one of his favourite poems, "Sea-fever" by John Masefield, and 
wrote new arrangements to "The Song of Wandering Aengus" by W.B.
Yeats (original music by Dave Van Ronk). 

The album features Tim on guitar, mandolin, bass & vocals, Sahra
Featherstone (celtic harp), Tom Leighton (accordion), Liane de
Lotbiniere (vocals), Paul Mills (guitar), Chris Whiteley
harmonica) ... and me (god help us all), singing backup on a
song.

Tim performed at Mother's Wine Emporium, NY last night, sings at
the Sanctuary Coffeehouse, NY tonight, the Kennedy Center in DC
tomorrow, and back for the official launch with new CD in tow at
Hugh's Room in Toronto on Fri Nov 29th. Joining him on stage are
Paul, Sahra, Liane, and Trevor Mills on bass. 

I've sent out invitations which if presented at the door, offer
a $5 discount off the CD (reg. $20). If you did not receive one,
feel free to print this email and give it to the person staffing
the door to get the discount as well.

"Wheatfield With Crows" is distributed in Canada by Festival Dist.

was recorded, mixed & mastered at Second Avenue Studios by Tim.
