This response is a little late in coming but Javier and I would like to say
that Vic Bell and the gang have something to really be proud of-
congratulations! The Nick is an amazing testament to the power of hard
working, passionate volunteers, a wonderful artistic director with vision, a
fantastic sound man who obviously understands the complexities of the
equipment and room he has to work with, AND a community full of faithful
listeners that continue to fill the hall week after week for twenty-three
years!  Whew! To think our Live! At the Opera House series is in mere
infancy stage at five seasons. we take our hats off to you all.  Kudos to
you folks in Calgary!

In regard to Bill's request for memorable places we've played.  I would have
to say performing at Café In the Woods on Manitoulin Island (Salt Spring
East <g>) was one of my favourites.  Kerrene Tilson and Jennifer Sneddon
were warm, generous hosts and the audience members couldn't have been more
welcoming. Jack Walker and I felt like we'd been invited to play in the
living room of some wonderful friends.
