Didn't the regulation change last June? Artists entering Canada to play
festivals and cultural events no longer need a visa. Artists entering to
play commercial venues like bars _do_ need a visa.
I must admit, I haven't tried entering under the new legislation yet as
we still have a work visa that covers us for this next tour. I'm not
sure what kind of proof they require about what type of gigs you're
playing.
