Now it's my turn to say howdy. I've played dobro in a variety of
bluegrass units in southern Alberta over the past 15 or so years. About
2 years ago, I acquired a uke at the same time that my day job took me
to Calgary for 5 months. There must be something in the water up there.
I focused on the uke in Calgary, and found it to be a wonderful addition
to the arsenal of someone familiar with the guitar. It appeared that it
would be an obvious companion instrument to the Hawaiian guitar (dobro);
however, I've not yet had the nerve to introduce it to the bluegrass
scene.
