[mplpost] Mic--eee likes it?

I tried the wireless thing a few years back because it seemed like a good
idea. Unfortunately, it was in the early years for this stuff and I kept
getting taxi calls in the middle of songs. I discovered that when I'm
tethered to a headset it's similar to an acoustic guitar being plugged in -
NO DYNAMIC RANGE. I missed the ol' cardioid pattern it seems. I prefer mics
on everything - and on stands.

It does bring up this annoying, "Yes, but is it folk" question. I worried
about that issue for way too long. Frankly if you are entertaining and
genuine with your performance, who cares? Heck, it's presumptuous enough
just being up there on stage.
