Once again, Kitchener's Centre In The Square On Stage Series presents an
outstanding opportunity for audiences to catch some of this country's finest
up and coming performers in an intimate setting. 

Renowned for its outstanding acoustics, The Centre In The Square is a
world-class concert hall. The theatre's On Stage Series is unique from all
other entertainment series at the venue as it offers the audience the rare
opportunity for the audience to actually sit on the stage, along with the
artists, at tables and chairs in an intimate, cabaret-type setting. With two
bars set up on either side of the stage, you can enjoy a beverage of your
choice while listening to the outstanding artists in this series. Robert
Reid, one of the Kitchener-Waterloo Record's entertainment reviewers, has
praised this setting, writing that, "there's no better place anywhere in the
area to hear singer-songwriters than on stage at Centre In The Square. The
audience is close to the artists and the sound is excellent. Moreover, there
are no extraneous noises or distractions of any king. In short, nothing

This year, the On Stage series features Vancouver's fabulous boogie-woogie
keyboard wizard and 2001 West Coast Music Award Winner for Male Artist of
the Year, Michael Kaeshammer, the outstanding jazz duo Ebony & Ivory, as
well as the popular Songwriter's Circle (which features three performers as
yet to be announced).

Kaeshammer performs on Thursday February 27, 2003, Ebony and Ivory take the
stage on Thursday April 24, 2003, while The Songwriter's Circle takes place
on Thursday June 19, 2003. All shows start at 8pm. Tickets to the individual
shows ($25 each) in the series go on sale on November 16, 2002, but series
tickets are on sale now. The Centre In The Square Box Office can be reached

All the shows in this series sold out in advance last year, so you might
wish to take this opportunity to purchase the entire series of three shows
