Tüq are:
Nicholas Williams - blackwood and bamboo flutes, piano
Greg Brown - fiddle, accordion, concertina
Yann Falquet - guitar, mandolin, banjo, feet

A small band of northern folk alchemists from the junction of the
Outaouais and St. Laurent rivers, Tüq fuses Québecois reels with
Yiddish Hongas, Irish jigs with Sweedish Polskas, Breton Andros with
Texas Swing. The material is ever-inventive, yet lyrical, tasteful,
and grounded in an intimate knowledge of multiple traditions. The
musicianship is outstanding.

Blackwood and bamboo flutes interweave with fiddle, accordion, guitar,
mandolin and banjo in fresh arrangements of tunes spanning English and
French Canada, as well as musical cultures from across Europe. The
rising lights of Tüq reflect the dynamism and diversity of the
Montréal traditional music scene.

"Nicholas Williams' debut CD 'The Crooked River' is a gem. Every tune
is different and all sound outstanding."
- John Gavin, Atlantic Seabreeze magazine

"An absolutely wonderful release."
- Gord Peeling, CKCU fm

"I just love Nicholas.... This music is like flying!"
- Celeste Cares, age 3

If you missed them then, here's your chance! **

Hope to see you there!
