Buffalo Tracks Second Season Tapings Begin In Toronto!
(TORONTO) Assembly of First Nations National Chief, Matthew Coon Come kicks
off the new Buffalo Tracks season this Saturday, September 29th at Freedom
Studios in Toronto! Buffalo Tracks is an exciting Aboriginal variety
television show that features talented Aboriginal people working in diverse
fields from performing arts to medicine. It is one of the top rated
programs on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) and is hosted
by the talented stage and screen actor Lorne Cardinal. His credits include
recurring roles in Blackfly, The City, Jake and the Kid and North of 60.
Our new season airs on APTN every Friday starting November 2 at 8:30 pm &
2:30 am.
Tapings for Buffalo Tracks begins this weekend in Toronto on September 29th
and 30th at Freedom Studios. All 26 episodes will be taped in Toronto
between September and December 2001.
Guests for our premiere weekend include:
Saturday, September 29th - 7 pm
o Tomson Highway – Widely acclaimed sassy Cree Playwright promoting his
first childrens book Caribou Song.
o Tamara Podemski – Multi-talented actor/singer recently recorded `Spirit
Nation’ on Triloka Records. Performed in RENT on Broadway.
o Matthew Coon Come – National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations shares
his experience as leader of Canada’s largest First Nations organization.
Sunday, September 30th - 3 pm
o Santee Smith – Mohawk Artist, multi-disciplinarian performer;
actor/dancer/choreographer and designer of Iroquoian pottery.
o Jazz Fuller – 12 year old boy wonder; actor/dancer/martial arts/athlete
who plays `Snoop’ on Double J Detective Agency on TVO Kids.
o Nathaniel Arcand – TV/Film actor who has performed in American Outlaws,
Grey Owl, North of 60 and Due South.
Sunday, September 30th - 7 pm
o Francisco Vasquez – Filmmaker, `Defending the Forest: The Struggle of the
Campesino Environmentalists of Guerroro State’, Chiapas Media Project
o Drew Lacapa – Hopi/Apache comedian from White River, Arizona.
o Adam Beach – Hot Film/TV Actor, `Wind Talkers’ and `The Art of Woo’ TIFF

Audience of all ages are most welcome to all our tapings, and admission is
