Performance Review, Brian Gladstone Plays Hughs Room, Nov 23, 2001 

This is a copy Brian's recent live review of the show at the HUGH'Sroom in Toronto. The large Friday night crowd was loud, energetic, and very appreciative throughout the evening. Brian's band (including Tony Quarrington on second guitar, Bonnie Gladstone on vocal harmonies, and Maureen Brown on washboards and percussion) worked very hard under the hot HUGS'S room lights. 

Brian and Tony's fusion of finger picking and flatpicking guitar had the audience totally silent at a few points during the evening - and burst into spontaneous applause on more than one occasion during their amazing smoking guitar solos. Although the last set finished at 11:30 - they were still screaming for more an hour later Hope you enjoy reading this review. Make sure you catch Brian Gladstone and the band next time they play.
