I may be crossing the Maplepost line with this posting but it IS from 
Valdy and as a web-fundraising idea it's certainly original.  Now we 
know what Mr. Horsdal gets up to on his days off.

Strip Me, Not My Island
This is a last gasp fundraiser.
Our Land Conservancy needs $350,000 by month's end.
A bunch of us would-be-hunks have stripped for the camera, been covered in
leaves, and appear on the website <http://www.hunksforhabitat.com>. 
You may remove or replace a leaf for a hundred bucks Canadian.

I have 100 leaves on me, so when I'm butt naked, the Land Conservancy 
will have $10,000.  Basically, we're buying back a big hunk of our 
island, Saltspring Island, BC, and "Hunks for Habitat", as you'll see 
from the site, is well underway.  However, I'm late into this fray, 
and need some serious defoliage.
Strip me, flatter me with your desire to see my body, and give some 
coin of the realm to this substantive community effort.
