"Wheatley's music reflects a broad range of influences from folk, =
country and pop to roots rock and blues............one minute she sounds =
like a young joni Mitchell, the next like Edie Brickell and the next =
like Bonnie Raitt.............Wheatley is a great storyteller and her =
songs are chalk-full of literate, thoughtful and frequently piercing =
lyrics............The promise Wheatley displayed on her first album =
"Straight Line" (which spent 4 months on Sam The Record Man's TOP 10 =
Independent chart) is unquestionably fulfilled on her sophomore outing, =
a heart-felt, emotionally charged set of very personal songs about =
growing up in small town Canada......she may be set to join the ranks of =
other great Canadian songstresses Joni Mitchell, Jane Siberey, or Sarah =
McLachlan......."

dr j - if he's not playing some sleazy character in an interactive =
theatre show (currently Gordy Gordon in "Disco Saturday Night" @ The =
Palace Night Club in Calgary) he'll be the warm-up act at the Moaning =
Summit - you would almost think he lives there!!!! His 2nd CD "black =
cloud" produced by Tim Williams should be released at the end of =
November and he'll no doubt feature a few tunes from this exciting new =
project. Critics have universally said......said.........nothing ?? =
(they haven't heard it yet!!)
