In September 2000, = Karine Polwart (Malinky, MacAlias), a fine singer, guitarist and = songwriter, joined the band. It's been a while since a woman was part of = the line-up and while deeply saddened by the loss of the late Davy = Steele (band member who passed away Wednesday, April 11,2001 after = battling a malignant brain tumour), the band are looking forward to the = next chapter in its history. A new CD "Happy Daze" was released this = year and is dedicated to Davy. Alasdair White (fiddler, = multi-instrumentalist, and composer) has recently joined the band to = take over the band=92s hot fiddle chair.
