yes, it was the Bunkhouse in Vancouver.  by way of moving nostalgia
westwards...I also met Joe Mok there in 1965 where he used to introduce
himself with jokes about being Chinese-Hungarian.  He's now a Pied Pumkin,
no?  I also remember playing Jon York's Music Hall in the basement of the
Century Inn in Victoria.  By then, it was run by Skip...last name
temporarily lost in a seniors' moment, who is now a street preacher & sells
inspirational radio stories around Christmas - I heard them over Parry Sound
radio last year.  Valdy developed an excellent orchestra called "The Foundry
Brass" which played terrific dance music at a place called "The Old Forge"
also in Victoria.  Charlie & I opened a club called "The Chrystal Eye" in
the Chrystal Garden across from the Empress Hotel.
