Hi everyone!!  This is a quick note to let you know I will be performing
this weekend at:

The Free Times Cafe,
320 College Street West,
Sunday November 4
8 PM
( really that early, it is a school night after all! )

with

Fiddle Monster Christopher McKhool

and a guest appearance by

The amazing Laura Bird.

This promises to be a really special evening of music. Christopher McKhool
and I have done quite a few gigs together (we met in a bluegrass/ old time
band four years ago). He and I really groove on each other's playing, and
the mutual inspiration always brings fresh surprises and interpretations.
His violin playing is fluent, creative and deliciously intense.

Laura Bird is a passionate performer with a warm smoky alto voice(ask me
about the infamous Lullaby Sessions at the Sheridan Hotel..) She journeys
through folk-roots, bluegrass to sultry jazz standards, all smoothly
supported by her strong finger picking, flat picking and percussive guitar
playing.

I will bring my voice, my songs, my five string banjo, guitar and mandolin.
I suspect that, given the intimacy of the club, and the fact that all of us
are consummate jammers, some unexpected musical moments will arise.

Its gonna be a great night, so come on down!!
