"There are only a handful of national songwriters who can mesmerize
their audiences with just their words and a guitar. Rhody does this to
perfection." - Garland Pembroke, Atlanta Journal
If you had to sum up Alan Rhody in one phrase, it would be
"singer-songwriter-journey man". Touring North America and winning over
audiences with his moving performances for over 25 years, Rhody has
garnered a devoted following. He has performed several times in Toronto,
however, this is his Cloud debut. His self-penned songs have been made
into hits and recorded by a who's who of country, folk and bluegrass. He
has been honored with accolades for sales in the multi-millions. Rhody
or his music have been featured in motion pictures, network and cable
television, National Public Radio, college, folk, and other eclectic
programs around the globe. On this his sixth solo release "Journey", he
delivers more than ever, the earthiness and honesty that has become his
trademark. Featuring guest appearances by John Prine, the late John
Hartford, Maura O'Connell, Pat McLaughlin, and Jamie Hartford it
promises to be his most well received recording to date. As Now put it
last Toronto visit - "In short, our man gives good song."
