Tune in this Saturday June 23 to CBC's "Definitely Not The Opera"
for a documentary look at the life and times of an Independent Artist.

Produced by Rachel Barreca during a three day "on the road interview" 
this documentary: 

- explores the realities of what it really takes
to make a living as an independent musician.

- focuses both on artists who've always been
indie and those who've made the move back from
a major label to indie status 

- it also talks briefly about the pop culture
context of today's music industry and reasons why
artists might choose to do things the independent
way.

Aengus Finnan
Ani DiFranco
Jane Siberry

The documentary will run at the back
end of hour three this Saturday June 23.
(Hour 3 runs between 3-4pm.)
