[mplpost] Playlists - Blues - Grant

Hi Everyone,

I'm not feeling real good about the discussion generated by Grant
Hogarth's posting of a "blues" playlist to maplepost. There was a lot of
discussion so here are my thoughts on what I've read in no particular
order.

The U.S. based folkdj-l does permit/enjoy/suffer a weekly report that
does nothing but promote Canadian artists. 

I read and report every playlist posted to folkdj-l and although I
haven't kept records of which stations or dj's play Canadian music on
percentage basis I can tell you Grant and Susanne at KRCL do play more
than their fair share.

Grant also stumps me on a regular basis with very new or very old
Canadian artists that I'm sure he goes to some effort to seek out.

As for the blues and the "what is folk" discussion. I'll leave that to
all past and future discussions by the many good folks on this and other
lists.
