[mplpost] Blues on a Canadian folk list

Asks Helen Highwater, sounding a tad irritated:

>Hello, excuse me, but what does a blues radio show in Utah have to do
>with Canadian folk music?

Responds Flohil:

1) The blues IS folk music.
2) Grant is a Canadian who plays a lot of Canadian blues music.
3) He's welcome to send playlists to this list, if he wants to, sez me -
who read his
 	playlists dilligently.
4) If Harry Bryan can post his lists of Canadian airplay as reported to a
folk DJ list, I
dunno why Grant can't post his lists.
5) One more time: The blues IS folk music. Period. End. And is accepted
as such by just
'bout everybody, except maybe the finger-in-ear devotees of English
folk song
and Childe ballads (one of the roots of the blues, incidentally).

Cheers,

Richard
