[mplpost] Deadline Extended for Prairie Music Awards

For immediate release:

June 4, 2001 (Regina) Due to overwhelming response, the Prairie Music
Alliance has extended the deadline for the first round of submissions for
the 2001 Prairie Music Awards.

THE NEW DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, JUNE 8, 2001.

The Prairie Music Awards honour outstanding achievement among Prairie
artists and music industry professionals.  This year, the Prairie Music
Awards are in Edmonton, Alberta on Sunday, September 30.  Nomination is open
to any member in good standing of the Prairie Music Alliance. Members of the
Prairie Music Alliance are music industry professionals and musicians
belonging to the Alberta Recording Industry Association (ARIA), the
Saskatchewan Recording Industry Association (SRIA) or the Manitoba Audio
Recording Industry Association (MARIA).

Nomination forms can be obtained by calling the Prairie Music Alliance
office at 306-780-9830, emailing info@prairiemusicweek.com or by contacting
your provincial recording industry association.  All necessary information
can also be found at www.prairiemusicweek.com.
