Stephanie Bird
Stephanie Bird has fulfilled a long-awaited dream by releasing her first CD project "The Distance". The original songs blend Stephanie’s voice and acoustic guitar with imaginative accompaniment by a number of exceptional studio musicians. Her musical style has been described in the following ways:

"A warm, acoustic folk sound mixed with contemporary style and freshness."

"Folk music with hints of Latin rhythm and pop."

A Canadian-born artist raised in Brighton, Ontario, Stephanie was drawn to the acoustic guitar at age ten, and her musical life grew through strong participation in school music programs and was further developed at university where the creative atmosphere encouraged and inspired her to write songs.

In 1990 Stephanie added another musical facet to her career learning the piano tuner and technician trade under the private tutelage of master technician Stan Jones (formerly of Heintzman and Company, Toronto). Piano restoration work allows Stephanie to maintain a strong interest and appreciation for acoustic instruments alive and well in an ever- growing electronic age.

Currently living in Brighton, Stephanie is writing music in preparation for another recording experience. Stay tuned!
