| The walls of their basement
are very thin and their music is bound to be heard. Isolated from the world
for a few hours a day, five close friends find solace together creating
bizarre twisted jams in their parents' basement.
The music is organic, raw and full of colour. Together since 1992 and average age of 21, this band is ready to blast into your conscience and break down any pre-conceived ideas one might have about music. Kat Rocket are plotting to tap the unending flow of rock and guide it to new places. Kat Rocket consists of keyboardist/singer/songwriter Stella Panacci, guitarist/singer/songwriter Darren Danish, bassist/singer/songwriter Paul Pfisterer, guitarist Dave Sera, and drummer Josh Rosset. They may rant about their individuality, but when they get together to play, they become one, their individual identity is lost to the beast that is Kat Rocket. Upon first listen, the listener can hear a completely new approach to music. The listener is certainly going to be thrown off guard by the band's unpredictable way of structuring their songs. Bridges pop out of nowhere, noisy passages appear in unpredictable places, but most apparent is Kat Rocket’s disregard for any musical formula. Their latest release, the full-length CD, Captured by the Dream Co., takes the listener through a musical carnival ride of heavy punk riffs, sloppy funk, ambient trip hop, codeine influenced pop, and spaced out country rock. The future will be made up of many things past and some that are new. Meaningful music that inspires fresh new youth culture is in full force with the leaders of the new school KAT ROCKET.
