Born in Longueil, Quebec, Chamberland has since relocated to Ontario where she has pursued her musical career as co-founder of the duo Open Mind and as a solo performer.
She has collaborated with some of Canada's finest acts, including, the Barenaked Ladies, Sarah McLachlan, Crash Vegas and Spirit of the West.
Always a traveler, Chantal is quite at home on the road and has spend the last few years touring extensively throughout Canadian and American college campuses and playing festivals and clubs.
She has just released a solo EP, entitled Chantal, that is garnering rave reviews and getting serious airplay throughout Canada. Her music is raw-edged and melodic with lyrics that push listeners to think about their actions, take responsibility and never accept complacency.
